We have owned Hubbell for years. I was with a competitor of theirs for years and always liked the way they did business. An outstanding history! Look at their performance for the last twenty years or so!
Glad to see some others feel like I do that this
stock has a serious valuation problem. In Feb of 1997
it was at 43 and today, I almost hate to look. They
have theoretically done the downsizing, layoffs and
corporate restructuring (which inflicted alot of pain-see
Fargo acquisition/move to Mexico) but not gotten the
results. I expect it will rebound with Asia, but it has
been a big disappointment.
HUBb has done average past two years. If I have
read the quarterlies and annuals correctly (hey it is
possible) the only areas of concern seems to be one segment
of the company that is dragging down the overall
concur that Mgm needs to kick butt in that
segment or the board need to swift kick.
