Obama today says: I am not a dictator. I am the president.
What he's thinking is: I wish I was a dictator, but I'm only a president. Therefore I will have to lie about those in my way so that they will be destroyed. I will continue to demonize those people - half the nation - who work, pay taxes, and play by the rules in order to wring more money out of them to use as I see fit.
Let's bear in mind here, that we are talking about entitlements. The reason people are entitled to stuff is because they worked to earn them. Now, it seems, the American people for whatever reason want to welsh on the bargain they made to people who worked and who paid taxes. And the president is willing to go along with that.
Is welfare an entitlement? What about school lunch programs, government day care, free birth control, including abortions and so on? By your definition the reason people are entitled to stuff is because they worked to earn them. Is that really so today?
