Obamacare is now a success but what we are seeing now from Republicans, is the claim that Obamaccare is not successful enough, that it does not attain the goals we set for it, the goals Republicans opposed even trying to reach. Republicans who vigorously opposed any attempt to control costs, who argued that the free markets would limit price increases are now complaining that the action of free markets have caused premium increases.
Republicans are right about one thing. Obamacare can be improved and needs to be improved. What Republicans fail to tell us, is that only the Democratic Party, and not the Republican Party, is in favor of improving. it.
In Minnesota, the percentage of uninsured has dropped from 9 to 5 percent, with no doubt further to go. Meanwhile, Republicans don't even have a proposal. Republicans complain about increase in premiums, but they don't say it's due to an increase in coverage, and that any Republican plan which would increase coverage would have increasing premiums as well.
