...well actually it's an old game, but it's the only Big Game in town now. When the overall market limps sideways with a slight upward bias, the Pros have targeted stocks with high short interest. Then they just start buying. This triggers lots of smaller short-seller's Stop Loss orders which fuels the wide updrafts. It has become a Huge money maker for the Pros who have the dollars to push these stocks around. But it couldn't be done without the weak short-sellers with tight stop loss orders.
