I have eaten at CMG'S a number of times but am shocked at how expensive it is. The food is super salty and the whole scheme is to get you to order some "low priced" dish (which is not really low price) and then add on endless extras at huge prices and charge a fortune for a soda. The value proposition is not there and customers are catching on. CMG'S still commands the vestiges of hyper growth, cult stock status for several years. It often takes time for this status to be unwound and for long term reality to set it. We are currently in this process now. Also, the fact that the European market is not going well for CMG is a major negative.
I am not sure what p/e multiple CMG'S should trade at. The current p/e is too high.
I totally agree. What a snowjob CMG does! You get for $7.00, a Burrito that has, if you're lucky, 3 oz. of meat, way too little cheese, tons of rice and cheap stuff. The big hidden secret in their "organic" ingredients, is that the Burrito shell is made with the most unhealthy fat there is, PARTIALLY HYDROGENATED.
Their claim they hire their managers from within is actually scary, as 90% of the workers are immigrants that can't speak English, have poor cleaniness in how they handle the food, and are extremely inaccurate in the amounts of ingredients. OVERPRICED JUNK for foolish yuppies who have no taste buds.
