There are a lot of risks to CMG's current stock price. Their annual report has 7 pages detailing the various risks to maintaining the current price level. It is a lot to assume they will execute to perfection going forward.
The greates risk in my opinion was not mentioned. I think the greatest risk is gaining popularity with the AARP crowd. Once groups of blue haired ladies with walkers clog the lines discussing what they want on the burrito they are going to share, it will no longer be "cool" to go to Chipotle. At that point the current clientele will vanish.
So if everyone that is short CMG were to give gift cards to their parents and grandparents for Birhtdays, Holidays, etc, and those short over 55 years old would start eating at the restaurants, it would become soooo "uncool", that business would drop and the share price plummet.... You might be on to something hee!
