I think there has been some rotation out of Vicl into other bios due to the lack of substantive news and patience. Unfortunately it's looked at as stale money right now. I feel it's risky business to be completely out of it because you never know what could pop between now and June. I anticipate a slow run up starting around early April after some profit taking in other large cap stocks post earnings season....I want to believe this is the reason for the decline.
I do not dispute the historical increase. My point is, other than the serious longs and some institiutuons, there is not a high level of interest in this stock. The volume says it all and we are vulnerable (to manipulation) as a result. I beleive we will start to get "early 2012 like" interest in this stock starting in April as we get closer to A-7 results. In the meantime money is being used elsewhere, it may not be smart money but it's not here.
The number of people who have even heard of VICL is small. The number of people that have any knowledge of what is in the pipeline is far smaller. The number of people that have even a minimal understanding of the technology and can make a reasonable guess at its value is minuscule.
I believe the rotation is from retail to institutional investors as demonstrated by BlackRock's increased share. The retail money is just looking for a quick hit. They are not necessarily patient or very successful.
Over the past few weeks you are probably right as the fast retail money left VICL and chased Kerx, Oncy etc.
I'm interested to see what Fidelity did in Q4
I see a sell off on NO Volume. The traders walk the stock down, the short covers. Then we reach oversold territory(now) and the dance is over. "rotation" on no volume.? I see the same manipulation I always see on Quiet days. Leerink Swann in 2 days. Let the short play his game None of this will matter in a week, 50 day is going to trade UP through the 200..Stock is setting up for a nice run.
Sentiment: Strong Buy
funny, when i look at the price from the end of december to today, i see a gain of over twenty percent. looks like a rotation into the stock if you ask me, or just trading in a range as usual. no worries here.
