by yr end imo...the two companies would complete each other...Google #1 websearch and INSP #1 mobile and local search...integrated together Yahoo nor MSFT could touch them...
infospace name would go away and INSP shareholderrs would be given GOOG shares...
just imagine the profits of Google if a user could conduct a search on Google and bring up the most lucrative meta p[latform ever -top mobile results which could be 1 click droppd into your phone web menu, top local results and top websearch results....my
I don't think so dog, gcleverdog had it right in my opinion in his last post. With Infospace mobile revenues tripling just this year, Infospace, if continue to capitalize and hit on all cylinders, continue to establish and build #1 leadership position in Mobile and Wireless, then our one billion market cap likely to become 100 Billion dollar market cap sooner than most people might think. Of course this all just my opinion and I could be wrong, but dang, just look at the numbers, and forgetting about music downloads right now, I'm talking about everything else Infospace doing, including online gaming which going to be a huge market for Infospace. Google a "search" company, end of story. Infospace a "wireless/mobile" company with powerful search component. Unless Google want to get into the mobile/wireless infrastructure business and pay at least ten billion dollars for Infospace, still a huge bargain in my opinion, that just ain't going to happen. I'd like to see Infospace double its earnings next year at least, and again the year after that, then we start to become regocnized as what YHOO is to portal, what EBAY is to online auction, what Google is to Search, and what INSP is to mobile/wireless. If anything, it may come a time when some company like Yahoo or Google or Microsoft buy off our search technologies and we become pure wireless/mobile play, but that couldn't and shouldn't happen in my opinion until we clear #1 leader in mobile/wireless with continues rapidly accelerating earnings, or it may just continue building and expanding the way it is until our mobile/wireless brand name associated with what we all have referred to as the 1+1=3 model and we still do branding behind the brand for other companies as well as help build the carrier brands invisibly. Who cares, if our wireless revenues keep doubling and tripling like they be doing.
This would be a waste of a good investment oppurtunity. The beauty with InfoSpace is that it was willing to build the brands of there customers such as Cingular, Att, T-Mobile, Etc.
These folks do not want to be a dumbpipe for Aol, Yahoo, and Google to continue building there brands on there infrastructures.
Infospace leverages there reach in order to sign lucrative deals and offer them to there vast customer base. This is sheer genuis.
The better the carriers do the better InfoSpace does, go carriers!!
Fantastic aquistion bosstl, Google aquires INSP, Google IPO's @ 36B Market Cap, INSP 1B Market Cap, 36/1 ratio, Google issues 1 Google share for each 36 INSP shares, bosstl that leaves you with 47 shares of Google....LMAO
