EMC share price performance is utterly unacceptable; and by extension, so is the performance of EMC leadership, including its BOD. The time has come for all of you to step aside and put EMC up for sale. Surely EMC products and technologies, including VMW. will generate more wealth for EMC share holders in the hands of new leadership.
I absolutely agree I have been a shareholder for over seven years and i am tired of reading about the "good fortunes" of EMC in Tucci"s annual message His message is a complkete lie!!!! Lee Jensen
This company has done awesome this past 12 months, and for me that is all that matters. I also think if you hold onto this company for 6 more months, you will, or should be thrilled even more. The market in general sucks, but the fundamentals of this company are awesome, and only going to get better. People need to be invested in this company thinking on holding it for months, not days............
emc as majority owner of vmw has too much of a market cap.your talking about a 90billion to 120 billion buyout just to make it worth our while slightly.I think emc is going to be a $40-55 dollar stock. That is a two to three year reality.Todays traders want to make 20 to 200% overnight, which amounts to being a daytrader which hurts people with no patients or people cash strapped and selling stocks.Trade wise and patient the promised land isnt far away.

What are you guys smokin? The share price in the past 18 months more than doubled, and this leadership you are bashing is the same leadership under Tucci who in 2003 had the vision and foresight to buy VMWare, which is why the company is so much more valuable today than it was then. Start investing and stop trading.
When tucci took the helm at emc, share price was $60+, as I recall and went to as low as $3.50+ then stagnated for several years at $12.50 +/- a buck. As far as VMW is concerned, it is reasonable to credit tucci, but also remember a stopped clock is right twice a day.
Take a look here and you can get some great information on EMC http://www.secfilings.com/companies/790070/Emc-Corporation/secfilings.aspx
I have alerts on my portfolio sent to my email inbox. Site works great and helps a lot with research and DD.
That is the problem, and i suspect the reason EMC is such a poor stock to own. Our hope is for someone, e.g. HPQ, SAP, to make a hostile bid for EMC to get at VMW and maybe RSA, and use the EMC cash and sell off the hardware to defray to purchase cost. With the exchange rate favoring EU right now, SAP should also have additional purchase cost advantages.
