you acknowledge the short by "trying" to cover. Your broker will emphasize and fight that if they lose any money on your "accident."
Thanks for the advice. I covered at 80.1875 and after the trade explained what happened. No problemo according to Schwab, as long as I don't "intentionally" try to short. After FX conversions the profit is pretty negligible anyway.
