    Would anyone care to comment

on what impact the investment in REITS has had
and may likely have in the future on DNP. REITS in
general have declined severely in market value but the
REIT segment of DNP has held up very well. Some
    insights please.

    • I seems to me that REITs tend to be a hedge
against inflation. Recenty Warren Buffet suggested that
REITs were undervalued IHO which caused a short-term
upward spike in prices. Commercial property REITs are
not to good in major market downturn when businesses
are failing. Also there is a lot of uncertainty
concerning health care REITs concerning future government
spending cuts. I like DNPs mix and I believe that electric
and gas utilities will become big competitors to the
baby bells for communication services longer term with
deregugulation. Unfortunately my crystal ball malfunctions often!
