Plants like this will be closing down

Will they convert these plants to solar panels? It would be great to get rid of the smoke stacks.

    • Solar is a foul word in Wisconsin. Get a load of this misplanning by the bumbling, college drop Walker. The Renewable Energy Fund, collected by the state's utes from customers, has almost all gone to cow poop collectors. Yep, Walker's board appointees just threw a million or two to wind and solar. The alternative energy companies in Wisconsin are having layoffs or like Alliant with its subsidary RMT getting out of the business. Solar is the big thing. Buffett recently spent some 5+ billion, yah that's right billions, on two California solar farms. PSEG in New Jersey is putting something like 150,000 solar panels on their power poles. Duke is putting in experimental solar plants and Pinnacle West is starting to ramp up their solar with aims to have 1400 MW of renewal power in ten years. Add in the Feds are considering reducing the equity return on high voltage transmission lines the Wisconsin utes are in a bind how to plan future production. Still smarting from losing out on the end of the year Fed tax credit for wind with Walker's attempt to end all wind farms no Wisconsin ute is making any plans for power production. Wis utes have avoid written all over them for investors.
