Intel CEO: "So far so good." INTC UP 3.3% in after market
SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) -- Shares of Intel Corp. rose in after-hours trading on Tuesday after company Chief Executive Paul Otellini said the chip giant's business in the second quarter was "a little better than expected."
INTC 15.70, +0.49, +3.22% 3025201510 09JSA Intel (INTC 15.70, +0.49, +3.22%) shares were up more than 3% after Otellini's opening remarks at the tech giant's meeting with investors and analysts at its headquarters in Santa Clara, Calif.
Otellini also said Intel expects to see seasonal patters in the second half of 2009. He did not elaborate on Intel's second-quarter performance, but he added, "So far so good."
