Change "Portables" name to "Zoomables" or "Z-Mobile"

Why don't we ever get some sort of update on a purported FCC application for Chinese mobile phone distribution approval in the USA ?

    • It doesn't matter what you change its name to, it is still a dog. Portables is a distribution company and distribution companies are low margin businesses just like manufacturing. There is no value there. $20 million of goodwill off of a what $8 million purchase. LOL!!!!!! If you don't understand how wrong that is, you need to quit investing in the stock market.

      • Re: Yort response: When you sell only a PART of a company for $1.10 a share that is trading for $.50 per share & keep a large distribution business along with SpreadZoom, I think it is called tripling the price that it was trading for. Zoom can still buy phones from the subsidiaries they are selling this quarter or go to any other sources that offer a better deal. I think it is a good deal once distribution of extremely competitive priced China made phones starts for them in the USA. The plan is to expand Portables distribution network. To my knowledge nothing precludes ZOOM from also distributing in Europe, India, South America, Africa, etc.
They already have business contacts for sales in most of these countries that have been expanding rapidly. Forget about "goodwill" values for businesses in this market. It is close to meaningless.
