    • No, I didn't notice. I used to use indicators including the MACD but resolved to just look at price and volume. All the technical indicators are just derivatives of these; some mathematical function performed on P & V. I even went so far as to calibrate them by back testing. So, for MACD I would adjust the standard 12,26,9 parameters to best fit past turns. I had software to do that. It may be built in to most trading platforms now. If using indicators they really should be calibrated for each issue imo. But, I find just price and volume analysis the best predictor.

    • with all your technical knowledge, it seems to me you ingnored the fact that the macd never crossed zero last tuesday on the drop. this would have been my gauge.

    • you should spend your time doing research on a stock you might make money shorting

you are wasting a lot of time on this one

    • Please take any brand you can think of, sneakers, web sites - like amazon, ebay, priceline etc, cereal, fast food chain etc and then list out all the competitors to that brand. The list will be just as long as the one you compiled there.

Someone thought nike was a great short at 18x earnings 20 years ago. Cheap imports from asia will surely harm nike's margins. Not saying skullcandy will be the next nike, but it may be the next ugg, lulu or under armor. I think they have a real shot to get there.
