Can't find any under $125. Black color seems sold out everywhere and theres a lot of people reporting that they cannot find a pair at retailers. Overall consumer impressions have been very positive. A big deal is being made over the 'proprietary technology' of the sensation55 driver. Fabricating is done in China and outsourced, but the engineering has all been brought in-house. No doubt that sound quality is greatly improved. I notice that Beats product reviews are in general decline. Maybe the consumer sentiment shift is now underway? Easily a $20 stock again when/if the hype comes back to this brand. Great new commercial with Kevin Durant and Wale. That should drive sales.
Skullcandy website has the new crushers for 99.00 with free delivery. Site also has some press inserts from various organizations which are positive. Also lifetime warantee is another plus. Sounds like a real winner in short time. Needs some advertising before summer kicks into gear. Could be a 10.00 stock in no time.
This KD and Wale commercial spot they have going right now (with the remix of Wale and French Montana's Back to Ballin') is by far the best commercial I've seen all year. They said the focus will be on using their endorsers more and I can feel the tide starting to turn. They are going for Beat's throat here, the core hip hop crowd. From everything I hear these Crushers are as good as Beats and about a third of the price. I also notice Beats reviews are starting to slip. This change in sentiment won't happen overnight but a good example of how quickly things can change for a high growth lifestyle brand is LuLu Lemon, that crashed a few years ago to $2 but has since rebounded to new highs.
Yes, my point is that the demand seems to have outstripped the supply, almost like an iPhone5 on release. This product is being hyped more than any I've seen from Skullcandy. Hopefully they launched with enough inventory. There are a number of people on their Facebook posting that they can't fund the Crushers anywhere and have been to several stores.
