Seattle Central C.C. has a wonderful Carpentry, Cabinet Making and Wood Boat Building Class. i spent 5 quarters there taking the Carpentry Class. Again, we had wonderful instructors. The classes were taught in a LARGE building in the Central district. We were on the bottom floor and had a qtr of making small projects and getting acquainted with the the machines. 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th quarters were spent building foundations, framing, finish and stick framing roofs many of us went right to work framing houses. i couple years later, i went down to the union headquarters and took their test. i went right to work as a Journeyman (which was crazy) and worked a year in Seattle down by the train station, beefing up concrete pillars under a bridge.
