The Korean government knows that the protestors against nuclear energy are ignorant about the science behind nuclear energy. The government is pro-nuclear and plans to build 16 new nuclear power plants by 2030. Coal and fuel oil plants in Korea spew more radioactivity into the Korean air than all global nuclear reactors combined, yet the public is ignorant of this fact. A Korean flying from Seoul to Washington receives more radiation from a single flight than living next to a nuclear power plant for a lifetime. The public is simply ignorant about the science of background radiation. Compared to fuel oil and coal plants, nuclear plants are far safer for the public.
Wayne I read a article on that today on my cnbc app when I punched up urg the article is no no longer
there I checked the website also was going to post it hear, a lot of pros and cons in the article long term
it was very bullish on uranium and one footnote was the analyst was saying he expected 8 to 10 nuclear
