The dividend announced was a pro-rated amount covering approx 1/2 of a quarter. LRE expects to distribute .475 per quarter or 1.90 annually at a minimum. These spin-off LP products are all volatile on a daily basis. Perhaps investors were hoping that more than the minimum would be paid. I just watch them move up and down and try to buy at a low point, preferably below the IPO price, and sell if they hit a 35% or so premium to the IPO price. These type investments should be for long term income type investors but the velocity up and down is so great that one can get appreciation worth 3-4 years of dividends and so it makes it hard not to take the profits at that point and wait for a reinvestment price.
after reading the prospectus, I can see where we will be getting 2.37 in ann dividends. the general partner has a big incentive to raise dividends and make more for the gen partners this and with a stock price of 18.10 yields 13%
