Just a thought ..... perhaps the company is in some very tough negotiations and the parties have come to some agreement to enforce a media silence until the negotiations are completed. Just a thought not a fact.
It does seem very odd (if not extremely odd) that there hasn't been any word about the data presented at a publicized event.
I mean, if for no other reason the way things have been going recently I didn't think anyone is capable of keeping any sort of important information secret for any amount of time.
I don't think it is a secret at all as everyone in the room heard the presentation.
The issue is that no one has reported the details, there is no transcript or recording published yet and there has not been a PR - yet.
The problem on this MB is that some people seemed to get consumed by the idea that this info would come to light at the speed of the world wide web. Why do we investors always assume that information flow is the number one priority for management to deal with? Perhaps they are working on the actual affairs of the business and maybe they are also working through the facts and legal issues related to the PR. I assume that the info will be out by no later than Tues/Weds of next week, but really it does not matter when the data is disclosed.
The SP may move up or down until then based on nothing but market conditions but once the news is out any real news will impact the price accordingly. And if the news is fairly significant I would also assume that Richad Garr will post another blog sometime after this weekend to enlighten us and patients on significance of the data. #curspgoingup.
In a way I kind of like the setup here. A few aggressive shorts are probably thinking no news is bad news. They sell more on Monday - right into the news (which I honestly assume will be good to very good but probably not a home run). Next thing you know these motivational speaker types are living in a van down by the river and living off government issued cheese with their worthless trade confirms ready by their side to be used as toilet paper. (That last part about the toilet paper is pure speculation and is not based on any insider knowledge).
Definitely a disappointing 2 days, wating for the data. Hopefully we'll see something prior to Monday's open. Possibly there's a reason for CUR to be in a quiet period now, hard to say. By the way, CEOs are usually arrogant - some more, some less.
