ImageWare Systems to Present at Craig-Hallum's 4th Annual Alpha Select Conference on September 26, 2013
"SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwired - Sep 18, 2013) - ImageWare Systems, Inc. (OTCQB: IWSY) (ImageWare), a leader in mobile and cloud-based, multi-modal biometric identity management solutions, has been invited to present at Craig-Hallum's 4th Annual Alpha Select Conference held at Convene in New York City on September 26, 2013.
ImageWare management is scheduled to present at 12:50 p.m. Eastern time, with one-on-one meetings held throughout the day.
If they are going to dilute (TBD), the timing is not so bad, given the buzz created by Apple's TouchID.
The early reviews seem to indicate that Apple did just what they needed to do to make the launch of commercial biometrics a success; a low false reject rate, and a very fast match, combined with an elegant design in the home button. This will certainly spur the adoption by the Android echosystem which tends to be much more open than the Apple walled garden. As Apple moves toward a full m-commerce approach I would not be surprised to see them open the FP sensor to third party developers, and even if they don't-- iOS has ~17% of the smartphone market share VS. Android ~75%, and IWS is not limited to FP.
