Too much talk is taking place about 1 loan but not enough discussion concerning 3rd. qtr, results; or the next few quarters either. Will NYB weather the tightening yield curve or suffer the big squeeze that haunts all thrifts at this point in the interest rate cycle?????? Theses guys like to "talk the talk" BUT can they "walk the walk"???? Show us the money big joe or go and $%#*&^@#$ well you get the picture!!!!!?????
Joe and management put up their own nickels, and NYB dances to its own tune. Lots of inside buying. Yes, the yield curve has tightened, but they have been profitable in the past in a multitude of circumstances. 1000 percent growth over 10 years is not too shabby! It may take a few quarters to raise the dividend, since the payout ratio is above 50 percent, but we will find out soon.
