I see that NYB will report its earning "after the market closes" on Thursday, October 18 with conference call the next morning (Friday, October 19). They are accelerating to prior week because of a bank convention. I am still surprised they release the night before to let after market trading instead of before market opens as they typically do.
What is more interesting is that they want to release the earnings PRIOR to the Banker's Convention. Do you think NYB would be doing this if the earnings were not good? I don't think so. Look for a good earnings report.
