I checked with a relative that lives in the Cleveland area and they said oocee was looking to sell. This would be another departure from the "West of the Mississippi" strategy for WCNX. Could it be WMI that is the buyer?
I checked the slide presentation that they gave on wed. of this week and it looks like they have a whole new area in that tennessee region that they have been buying assets. Biz dev. guys are starting to stray for commissions if you ask me. Who knows why they are doing that..
This is IMHO a smart move, the competition in this part of the state is next to nothing and it is a virtual franchise without being a franchise. The secondary market strategy is holding true and the populations for the secondary markets east of the MS will prove to be more profitable. Ronnie is no fool, he has a plan and he will make it succed. Internalizing is on the top of the list of musts, so expect more of the same!
