    Put Me in Charge!

    Put Me in Charge:

Put me in charge of food stamps. I’d get rid of Lone Star cards; no cash for Ding Dongs or Ho Ho’s, just money for 50 pound bags of rice and beans, blocks of cheese and all the powdered milk you can haul away. If you want steak and frozen pizza, then get a job.

Put me in charge of Medicaid. The first thing I’d do is to get women Norplant birth control implants or tubal ligations. Then, we’ll test recipients for drugs, alcohol, and nicotine and document all tattoos and piercings. If you want to reproduce or use drugs, alcohol, smoke or get tattoos and piercings, then get a job.

Put me in charge of government housing. Ever live in a military barracks? You will maintain our property in a clean and good state of repair. Your “home” will be subject to inspections anytime and possessions will be inventoried. If you want a plasma TV of Xbox360, the get a job.

In addition, you will either present a check stub from a job each week or you will report to a “government job. It may be cleaning the roadways of trash, painting and repairing public housing, whatever we find for you. We will sell your 22 inch rims and low profile tires and your blasting stereo and speakers and put that money toward the “common good..”

Before you write that I’ve violated someone’s rights, realize that all of the above is voluntary. If you want our money, accept our rules. Before you say that this would be “demeaning” and ruin their “self esteem, “consider that it wasn’t that long ago that taking someone else’s money for doing absolutely nothing was demeaning and lowered self esteem.

If we are expected to pay for other people’s mistakes we should at least attempt to make them learn from their bad choices. The current system rewards them for continuing to make bad choices.

And, while you are on Government subsistence, you can no longer VOTE! Yes, that is correct. For you to vote would be a conflict of interest. You will voluntarily remove yourself for voting while you are receiving a Government welfare check. If you want to vote, then get a job.

    • I wish we could! I agree with you 100%!!!

    • Needs to be implemented before those mentioned reach a majority. Impossible? Research true numbers of people receiving some type of goverment money.

    • It's a shame that more Americans don't have your attitude and work ethic!

    • It may be time for the productive people (working for a living) to go on strike or maybe just march on Washinton DC in the Millons and demand a change to the entitlement nation (stop it altogether) it may be time to start arresting officials for bankrupting our country,Demorats and repukecatans both they are two sides of a corrut coin. A little tar and abunch of feathers used to work wonders on crooked people. The people that have been on public assistance for generations(both state federal or county are parasites and need to be taken off the teet asap, the country can no longer afford to be their nursemaid.

      • Right on brother! That is exactly what needs to happen... If we don't get out the vote in 2012 our Great Republic will be well on the road to look like Europe in less than 10 years.

When more than half of the American people depend on someone to take care of them without contributing to society in any way, it's trouble coming. And, it's been coming for a long time. The policies and bad habits, choices and politicians are not going to go down easy. The ones that depend on these subsidies without working are not going to give up easily. If you cut their subsidies, they would still rather march and protest than work. Until it gets down to starve or work, thing will not change.

        My 2 cents

    • Throw in an option for training with verified accomplishment as an option to 50% of the work time and I am for it.
Your point on losing the vote is sadly necessary, but it may already be too late in handout nation.

    • You sound like a liberal!!!! republicans would go berserk if you imposed these kinds of rules... landlords all over the country would scream about losing all that government money for providing low income people with cockroach and rat infested dumps in high crime areas... Walmart and other such outfits would scream about the loss of revenues due to ending food stamps and other such programs... The medical profession and the big drug companies would scream to high heaven over the loss of government money for using poor people as guinea pigs to test drugs and medical procedures on.... And most of all, businesses all over the country would scream and kick about having to hire all the homeless people created by your plan, because it costs at least 10 times more to hire people than to just give them some basic income to live on.... Which is why republicans and conservative democrats conspired, back in the 1950's and early 60's to create welfare programs instead of doing like democrats were doing, which was to create government based jobs for those people who could work, and to give comodities and other cheap goods to those who can't work.

    • Ba hum bug I can buy booze and smokes at will with the card! I love the USA!
