Well, it is in fact a "gamble" ... you can tell by the direction of the stock market by the future indices. If the future indices are not selling off big time due to negative news and appear to hold up pretty nice, it is time to "plow in" at any dip opportunity at market open. And because it is a "gamble", you have to have very very "quick fingers" to get rid of shares to pocket quick profits within half or one hour holding! I only play this "gamble wisdom" on high-beta stocks such as Baidu or Google to give me a quick $10 to $15 bucks in such a short period of time (half an hour to one hour). If you do not have a "stomach" for it or your fingers not fast enough, just simply stay away from this "trading strategy"! It is much safer to be patient and wait for stock price to come down to earth for a good entry point --> buy the dips and sell the rebounds!
Whoa ... What an amazing chart! Baidu run from the trough $100+/share to the current $365/share is very impressive! The strongest stock ever. A much better run than Google! Allez-y, le Baidu! I plan to get out of Baidu again after playing the "wisdom" this morning. Not feeling very good about the release of beige book this afternoon --> the sell-off always kicking in with the beige book result! Better safe than sorry --> my motto!!!
