Unfortunately for me, I already added shares earlier today at $129.51, and I have rules that prevent me from adding more right now, but hopefully you were smarter than me and waited till now to buy. If you did, you can add one psychological reason to all the fundamental reasons why buying Bidu right now's a great idea: The Weekend Approacheth.
Y, I know, I know, so what, right? But see, here's the thing: markets have very, very short memories. Today, Friday, every analyst and his mother is fretting about the Declining Margins Problem and they're scaring the Hell out of buyers and each other. But you know what? After a weekend spent getting drunk and playing fantasy football, these same analysts who are fear mongering today will return to their desks Monday with an attitude of "Margins, shmargins, gee, Bidu looks cheap!"
Today was too dull to deserve it, but I said I'd bump this thread, so here it is.
I'll try to remember to periodically bump this thread, to check in on our $127 buyers, but I'm extremely optimistic about that buy in level, long term. Good luck to all, Chris.
Hey, no worry. I got in at 127, but yesterday I got the other half around 118, and sell both at close around 124. So I earned a small profit from it. I devoted only a small % to my trading activities.
I still have my other $128 shares in my core long term holding, though a small piece. I tend to keep them since they are long term.
This isn't gonna be any fun to write, but I promised to bump this thread whether I won, lost or drew. So far, sadly, it's "lost."
And since excuses don't pay the pizza man, I'm not allowing myself to whine about general market conditions or FMCN (OK, one mention, but no whining). Hey, I made a buy call at $127 Friday and I must admit it plainly: right now, that call's three bucks underwater.
But take heart, anyone dumb enough to ever listen to me. Luckily for you, even a broken clock's right twice a day, and Bidu's my broken clock time. This thing's a marathon, not a windsprint, so take heart because tomorrow is a New Day.
Longterm, you're still gonna make a bunch of money off Friday's buy.
At least you're stand up guy and bumped the thread like you said. I'm under water after 1 day because of the purchase @ the close Friday, but like you said, it's not a sprint. To be honest, I think I more irritated that Cutler broke his thumb. After all, I'm a Chicago guy. Good luck to ya! PJ
And just to show that I'm a fair guy, I'm announcing today, Friday, that I will re-bump this thread Monday after close and Tuesday after close, whether I win, lose or draw. Never let it be said that I'm a person who only flaunts his successes and hides his failures!
