Baidu has missed on their last two earnings releases. I think this one will be bigger than the ($.08) miss last quarter because of competition from QIHU. This is coming from a long time investor of Baidu. I'm now in the QIHU camp. I think anyone holding onto this will be sorry financially, so I came up with a cool word :)
Baidu is spending money to grow and they're way ahead of the pack. Explain this to me: Why does Amazon have such insane valuations and when they have an earnings "miss", it doesn't affect the price of the stock; whereas Baidu with 40% growth utility evaluations and an analyst "miss" gets the guillotine. Things will be gettings goog soon
good word similar to buy do...buy dodo.....You could be right about the miss...however, the positives of the buyout may override the results and allow Li 1 or 2 more quarters to get the ship right. On the other hand, if they do surprise and beat the low earnings estimates..who knows where the stock could rise to. At this time I would rather be long than short. As far as Qihu goes..what if they miss? Do the math and tell me your preference with facts/assumptions included.
