Saga's president left a post 2 weeks ago claiming that "only novices quote 12+ numbers". Hmmm...here are Mr. Christian's OWN WORDS taken from the press release announcing Saga's latest station acquisitions:
>>Edward K. Christian, President and Chief Executive Officer of Saga Communications, said, ``We could not ask for a better opportunity to enter the Clarksville - Hopkinsville market. Arbitron announced in September that they would survey the market twice per year beginning this fall. It will be market rank 199 with a 12+ population of 169,500".<<
So, Mr. President...Are you claiming to be a NOVICE, by quoting 12+ numbers in Clarksville-Hopkinsville? Or are you trying to convince us that 12+ is only relevant when those numbers are GOOD...which is clearly NOT the case when is comes to Saga-owned stations. Perhaps Saga stock is down sharply because it's president and CEO insists on keeping his head buried in the sand. SGA is obviously a very poor investment, and I stand by my prediction that the stock will be in the single digits by next summer, barring a takeover or merger of the company.
