Good God, it took me 2 minutes to find a way to create a new post! This new format SUCKS eggs!!!! Back to the show at hand... As I see it, NSR is a solid business worthy of good returns. Looks like the stock price is back to it's original IPO level 2 years ago. If so, this means that today you can buy this stock for it's IPO cost. If this was possible with Goolge, everyone would be jumping on it (google's original $70/share is now what, $390/share)? Hopefully, this stock will start acting like it's a grown up again and start moving up. I see no reason to dump it at this point so 'll leave my existing investment here (around $10K) and simply let it brew for a while. After, Goolge IS supposely interested in buying them, right?
You can choose to display individual messages and it'll approximate the format it was before.
Also, you are terribly misinformed. NSR has been public for one year, and not two years. The offering price was $22 and not $28 (i.e., a 30% increase since IPO). Not sure what parallel you are trying to draw with GOOG, but whatever...
I agree the new message format is terrible. It shows gross stupidity on Yahoo's part to fix something that wasn't broken, and then receive much negative feedback and not admit they made a mistake and switch back.
As to NSR,Warberg released 2.4 mill of their shares to their partners on Aug 8th which was probably the cause for the recent weakness, as those folks sold, cashing in big long term Cap Gains. So will it rally now? I doubt it will much. Revenues and profits up about 30% so the big money evidently figures it is worth 30 times earnings. Currently it is selling for 32 times earnings. So we'll see fluctuations up and down, but no establishment of a sustained up trend - IMO. I've got a sell in for most of mine at $29.10,(small gap there) having ridden it from 27 to 37 and back down again over the last 6 months. Very dissapointing.
Where did you get that Google would buy them. I doubt it. Management is fat and comfortable. they have lots of options at under $5. They issue themselves lots more.
Also, they only did the IPO a year ago, not two.
PS is there anyone else on this board besides me and nadabunka?
