This is a stock your going to look back on and kick yourself for not investing in. UA has Nike beat in the football apparel ring. They continue to add major college programs. The most recent being Boston College. They provide these schools all of their uniform and apparal needs.I coach at the High School level, and teams are starting to purchase UA Uniforms for there sports teams. Sneakers will take some time and aren't to popular right now. They are on sale almost everywhere you look, however, with every shoe that is sold at a clearance price, the brand goes with it advertising for free. Under Armour sponsored the NFL combine last week. Thats why you see all the prospects dressed in UA gear, including Teboe. This is going to be a long road, however, I can see this being a multibagger with a dividend in about 10 years. Get in and stay long. I see it at $30 in the next 4 months.
Put aside some cash and dollar cost this beast once a month. UA is going to be better then nike ever was. I see the stock at $85 in the next 6 monthsbefore it makes a slight correction. The next 10-15 years will bring you more money then you can imagine. UA will continue to beat earnings estimates in the near future. I don't see anything slowing this stock down.
I agree with most of what you say, the long term prospects here are fantastic. I do think that we see $55 again before we see $75 though. The run from the last fantastic quarter will not last forever, pretty soon the thinking will be "yeah, but what have you done for me lately?" Investors seem to need constant reassurance with fast growing, expensive stocks. If the next quarter is another barn-burner that blows away expectations I think that's where we see $70+ sustained but I say we cool off between Q's.
The other thing that we will have to face sooner or later because I've seen it many times with growth companies will be a "missed" quarter. With companies like UA that routinely beat expectations the analysts will eventually push expectations up to impossible levels where even if UA has a record quarter it still won't hit the target. This "miss" is healthy for a couple reasons when it happens. First, it usually creates a severe, temporary (one to two quarters) price drop and a great buying opportuniity, and second, it brings the expectations back down to earth and gives the company targets that are more likely to be beatable and sets the stock up for the next run. I don't know when the "missed" quarter will come but it will come, it happens with every fast grower sooner or later, you can bank on it.
Oh and by the way, it's not like LULU doesn't get any love at PT.
Actually both LULU and UA seem to be in a complementary uptrend, look at what LULU's earnings seems to have done for UA.
Has it come to this? Reading a post about investing from a 23 year old female.
I think the time has come for me to cash out. Made more than enough and I see a disaster coming in the market now.
23 year old female. Come on people.
I'll do you one better, I see it at $50 by the end of the year. After all it is football season. My whole argument here:
Last week was the White Marlin Open fishing tournament in Ocean City Md. Under Armour dominated the event. Most of the few thousand spectators and most of the fisherman were draped in UA gear.
