My answer would have been call option contracts but I see only option contract amounts for several million shares over the next 6 months. So, it looks like at some point, theses will have to be re-purchased...unless the CEO has some deal to supply shares to some of these short holders with a non-public contract??? Is this a possibility?
As history indicates on this board, shorts are a real stubborn lot. I presume as usual, they will to a large degree, not cover. That immediately makes "long" shares the only shares on the table. The question is "How long are the longs?" or "When will a long sell?"
I would think in light of this contract, the Long sell trigger point just moved up significantly.
I hope your correct phree. We need a bump on Monday (a good one) to keep some of the short term longs to hold. With the market being very shaky I think many are scared to hold. For myself I'm in a different position. I'm keeping my fingers crossed - Legs too.
Sorry, I don't normally like to bump my own stuff up, but in light of the new contract and pending good news (poly plant, russell, new contracts, market bottom, etc.) I felt compelled to do so. Oh I know the shorts will make it difficult with lies and WMDs (weapons of mass "distraction") but LDK will ooze like lava to 70 within 3 to 4 months. After 70 the pressure will be to great for the 15 million shorts to bare. The volcano will erupt and LDK will go from 70 to 100+ within one month. It's gonna be a pretty site to see.
I have no doubt that the professional shorts can cover. They will create some negativity, which is not that hard to find for LDK based on analysts. If there is any negative news, LDK will drop and that will freak out a lot of sellers and they can cover.
Technically, if no one sells, no one can buy (cover) either. Having said that, I know what you mean. LDK should be testing $50 soon. LDK is finally behaving like a "strong stock" it once was. I still don't get what the fu@k that was we saw first two weeks of June. I think some hedge funds and professional naked short sellers were gainging up on LDK. I would not mind one bit to see them suffer the consequences of their bad behaviors.
