With your background, I am quite surprised that you have the present attitude and politics. Plainly, you are on the wrong side of the fence here.
I too grew up on a farm in the Midwest, spent 4.5 years in the US Navy in the early to mid 60’s, 3.5 years in the Submarine Service aboard the USS Cusk – (SS-348) home ported out of Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, used the GI Bill and had my own electrical contracting business to finance my college education, was a professor at the college while working on my M.S. degree, worked for Chevron for 30 years as a union employee, supervisor, department head and operations manager on mostly domestic projects with some international exposure toward the end of my working career. And, during the process, moved my family more times than a man should and way more than I wanted to. overall, it was a great ride and well worth my and my families efforts and sacrificies.
Now, to the issues at hand… How can you represent the present Congressional majority? Most of those people would not know how to pour piss out of a work boot if the instructions were on the heel. Take another hard look at the backgrounds of those that represent the present majority. The farmers that I grew up with did not need someone to tell them what was right or wrong. Nor did they need the US government to keep them profitable.
