I'm not sure if I'd call it 'dumping,' but I'd like to know why the Chairman of the BOD has sold over 100,000 shares. His wife (a Director) has sold a considerable number of shares, too, as has their son.
There sure does seem to be selling rather than buying. Humm... I'd like to know the total holdings of the BOD members. It would make getting a sense of insider sales easier.
I think an article in today's Arkansas Democrat says it all, Gleason has approximately $100mm in OZRK stock, which is a lot of eggs to have in one basket, it shouldn't be suprising to anyone that he has sold some recently.
Insiders are just getting rich, like many outsiders have been doing--check the charts for the last 3 years. Stock is buyable here under 40, then watch for a climb with favorable mkt. conditions and another split. The mgt. is very astute about tapping the home state of Walmart. Their recent purchase of the Russellville bank was in another prime growth area--great climate, good employment, lots of real estate changing hands. Do the reading, make some calls, and make your own decision.
