    • Thanks for the word on the NPBC 5% dividend. I'm going to take a look at it.

If you get near the Hershey Motor Lodge, take a moment to go in and look around. It's pretty nice.

Since this is the OZRK board, I want to say that I've been involved with OZRK for several years. I'm totally satisfied with this investment. I think the future is very good for them. I really like the Ozark region and I think Bank of the Ozarks is well managed and well positioned to profit from the development going on there. I too look for some sort of split in the not too distant future. In regard to the stock price, I believe it has had a great run on 03. I think it may soon take a rest, though.

      • I waited just over a year before picking up shares of OZRK not quite a month ago. The reasons you say you like the stock are the precise reasons I decided it was time to buy. Sure, I missed a nice paper gain the past year. Five, ten, fifteen, twenty years down the line, I expect to have a Cheshire cat smile on my face when I take out the calculator and see my paper gain.

It might actually be healthy if OZRK takes a rest for a while, at least until the next earnings report.

Now that I almost have the number of shares I'd like of OZRK (I have an open buy order in that may or may not eventually get filled), I'm starting to come up with a short list of other non-PA banks to research and watch.

I'd like to find a place where people go for serious discussion of regional bank stocks. Too much OT talk about other stocks on boards here annoys some people, but since we can't send each other private messages, there is little choice. There is no general bank stock board or group here at Yahoo! and SI is not the place people with an interest in bank stocks tend to go--a thread started there a few years ago withered away.
