Why would Aqua put fluoride in their water

when clearly it can be a neurotoxin ... especially when it hits any aluminum that has accumulated in the brain?

I believe it's time we've had 'too much of a good thing' and take this our of our water supply.

**and as a side note ... Gardasil girls CAN'T have fluoride anymore so they won't be using Aqua water that has fluoride in it. Also, anyone with alzheimers, parkinsons, etc. should also stay away from fluoride. Can you imagine how the demand might change if 24 million people can't have fluoride? ... something for you to think about Aqua.**

    • Fluoridation is a very bad idea. Bad for teeth, and bad for general health.
If a dentist feels a tooth needs fluoride treatment of some kind, it can be done topically, rather than flooding the whole body with it via water.

Fluoridation only helps the aluminum byproducts industry.

AS an investor, I'd like to see Aqua take the high ground, and remove fluoridation from its supply.

    • this site shows the naturally occuring levels of fluoride found in certain areas

      http://www.fluoridealert.org/pesticides/levels/1.5.html

the Maximum Contaminant Level determined by the EPA for fluoride is 4.0, depending on the size of your system, the costs of lowering levels of naturally occuring fluoride can be tremendous and continuous. Boulder colorado has proposed taking steps to lower their naturally occuring flouride, just taking their base population within city limits (95,000 people) it will cost them roughly 70 cents per household a month. I don't know what areas aqua has other than the in the metropolitan northeast that could absorb this at a similar cost. Imagine the costs placed on a system that consisted of only 150 households.

    • Here's a great article ... a few months old but I think it explains what my concerns were. I also think the comments about a 'communist plot'? were ridiculous ... don't know WHY you would even bring that up.

In a remarkable turnabout, federal health officials say many Americans are now getting too much fluoride because of its presence not just in drinking water but in toothpaste, mouthwash and other products, and it's causing splotches on children's teeth and perhaps more serious problems.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services announced plans Friday to lower the recommended level of fluoride in drinking water for the first time in nearly 50 years, based on a fresh review of the science.

    • News Flash:

less than 1.0 mg/L of fluoride in potable water is NOT a Communist plot to take over Americans' brains and rule the World.

Also, in the course of time (day, week, month, etc) how much tap water does any person drink? Perhaps an 8 oz glass a day, MAYBE?

Do the math. We're not getting much of the element to take control. Unless, of course, one is a few cards short of a full deck. And then, not that it matters anymore, the communists are our friends. Right? Yeh!
