Conference call translation / interpretation, FWIW!

Good to hear JD on the call!

As expected, it was short and sweet. No B.S.

Financial discussion, succinct and to the point.

Q&A, Lots of time wasted on petty issues.

Q1 guidance range, you can take it to the bank!

Cash no issue. Dividend payout safe.No major changes until new guy on board.

Company is stable.Jim is there until the new CEO is on board.

The dominant issue is the CEO search. Hopefully an individual with experience GENERATING NEW PRODUCTS! IE facilitating the new product process.

They need someone who can best manage their ongoing biz which is sort of on autopilot. The focus hopefully is on someone who can orchestrate and optimize the new product machine to generate big new revenue.

The company as a result of their acquisition strategy is a treasure trove of I.P. The company has the cumulative IP of ISIL,Elantec,Xicor, Planet ATE,D2Audio,Kenet,Zilker,Quellan,Rock and Techwell. For the right new guy this should be a new product nirvana. So the total investment there is on the order of $6B++ Vs. a market cap Du jour of $1.1B which is why it makes sense to bring on board a new CEO as opposed to sell.

The company has an infrastructure / team in place second to none. Their technology is world class. They have a treasure trove of IP. Design team is world class! A solid infrastructure exists.

IMO, with the right guy at the top the valuation will be a significant multiple to where it is today.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • I agree with your assessment that cash flow looks sustainable and dividend looks even safer than before.

The dominant issue is the CEO search. Hopefully an individual with experience GENERATING NEW PRODUCTS! IE facilitating the new product process.

Seems to me that Bell was good at facilitating new products, correct? Maybe the products that he choose didn't have a market, or the market didn't develop? So I think what you mean is facilitating new products that sell!

ISIL's biggest downfall was not securing power in the phone/tablet space. That's really all. I don't know what it takes to win this type of business, but I think that is the bottom line. ADI and LT don't want smartphone or tablet power business, I think the margins are too low so maybe that is the reason.

It looks to me me like ISIL would be a great fit with a few companies out there. One in particular. And that company has a pile of cash. I think that while the focus of the call was locating a CEO, the whole subject was a red herring so no one would ask about whether the company was for sale.
