Wife went hair dryer shopping last June. She also came home with a CONAIR. I asked why she did not buy a HOT dryer and she said she did not see any. She went to K Mart and I don't know if HELE supplies K Mart. I have been blaming her for HELE's woes ever since (joking).
On a possitive note, I told her about the new "silient dryer" and she wanted to go get one right then. Not kidding, her response took me by surprise. She is concerned about hearing loss and blames much of it on the twenty minutes a day she spends with the CONAIR in her ear. In addition, she dislikes very much not being able to hear while drying her hair, especially if she is alone. It freightens her. If the "silient dryer" is indeed silient there is no doubt it will be a hudge success for HOT.
Told my wife about the new Revelon Quiet Dryer but also couldn't find one. "we only stock Conair" was the answer most of the time. E-mailed HELE and received following info. The model is RV495, 1875 watts, has a cold button, removable lint filter and is warranteed for 2 years. Can be ordered directly at 1-800-487-7273 using credit card which we did. Hope this helps.
