at 56.67. Sold Mckesson at 34.59. I think the reaction was overdone. Will see. I trade between MCK and ABC when such divergences occur. On 8/28 had done reverse trade by selling ABC which was up at 58.25 and buying MCK which was down at 32.47. Interestingly these divergences are not that infrequent and the strategy is not particularly risky.
"Well, at least he cut my div. tax. I am one of the very few who live off their stock dividends...so I am a little predisposed to be biased in his favor."
And this my friend is EXACTLY what is wrong in the USA today. The predominate attitude is:
"If it's good for me, to hell with everyone else".
You may read the following article (named Whose war?) to find the winner of the war.
You may not agree with everything in this article; however, it may provide you some interesting information. Please remove the gap between www. and amconmag.
I could not have said it any better. And I voted for W and contributed to his campaign too. Well, at least he cut my div. tax. I am one of the very few who live off their stock dividends...so I am a little predisposed to be biased in his favor. Its all very confusing.
Yes, and it's $100-200 billion totally wasted. NO WMDs found, no Hussein-Al Qaeda links found - just more USA-hating terrorists created and more bad blood between us and our (former) allies. First we go to the UN and say it's "our way or the highway," now we tell them they have a "responsibility" to help us police this occupation and cough up $$$ to help pay for our stupidity. Of course, they will tell us to go to hell.
A few years ago I thought Slick Willy was the worst president of my lifetime - but then along came Dubya....
Oh yes! We were told the price of oil would come down sharply as we make Iraq our private gas pump (Richard Perle). And Rummy assured us that Iraq is rich enough to pay for its own reconstruction. Wasn't Lindsay the economist fired for saying the war might cost us 100 billion or so? Well its gone well over that already and will run at least 100 bln yearly...if we are lucky.
Good analysis. You seem to have your head screwed on. Maybe you could also run the Iraq war better than the current jokers who promised us a (oil) bonus but are handing us a massive bill. Fuzzy math anyone?
