5/3/05: Co raises guidance for FY05, sees EPS of $0.32-0.38, prior guidance was $0.30-0.35, vs. $0.32 consensus; sees FY05 revs of $980 mln - $1 bln vs. $925.95 mln consensus.
Note approximately $7M worth of insider buying after guidance. Of particular note is the fact one of these insiders has a near perfect record making over $60M in the past couple years on just one of his stocks. Sudden increase in money supply very strong the past 3 days.
Negatives: presently overvalued, institutional investment appears lacking, expect pullback after recent price increase. Balancing factor is big money insiders who seem to have a knack for getting it right.
this is a sinking ship. Silverlake is not interested anymore, they're about to take their profit and run, they need to focus on their next big buyout worth 11Bn where they are bidding as head of a consortium of 7 private equity firms, why should they bother with Gartner? Give me one good reason? They have their profit, the company is almost debt free, no sign of growth for the foreseeable future....
