simply look at the other investments Silver Lake has. they've doubled their money on IT, one of their other stakes is $bn's, much more interesting to double that!! The SLP stake (around 40%) is nother factor keeping the price back. As an insider I seriously if a) current management will invest to take it private due to extremely low morale b) current management can convince other investors to join c) undertands any of this
Other than an acquisition (either a buy to add revenue or IT's being sold), there is no way that any individual piece of news would launch this stock (or company). It is largely based on subscription revenues (whose amounts are pretty well known a year out), consulting revenues (that typically don't experience sharp growth) and event revenues (the star of the group thus far, but again not explosive relative to growth). In general, this sector will be hard pressed to continue to show any growth as technology users and technology sellers find alternative ways to get quality information.
