2011 miners injured, miners trapped, miners killed at Lucky Friday. 2012 Mine shut down for obvious safety reasons. 2012 new mgt. at Lucky Friday. 2013 mine reopened, at least part of it. Hope things are getting better for HL, and miners, and stock holders
Have you completely lost your mind or are you on Phil Baker's payroll? Do you really believe your are smarter than the entire investing world, which sees this purchase as a disaster? When it looked as if the deal would fall through, the stock rallyed. As soon as Alamos backed off, the stocked sank like a stone. Doesn't that tell you something?
These guys cannot manage what they already have. What would lead anyone to believe they can manage another operation? Clearly the rest of the world has made its decision and it is not in favor of an acquisition by the Baker Boys.
I tend to agree with your assessment and I guess we all would like to see an appreciation of the stock
but the stock price is subject to many of the vagaries of the market, The Bank would certainly not advance the funds for the acquisition, however, if they didn't trust the mgmt to do the right thing. I expect HL to shine when the benefits of the acquisition become more apparent.
