Here is the really Bullish potential news, although for some reason, Yahoo won't allow links to Mineweb, so go there yourselves to read the story under "Africa."
The DRC state-owned mining company, Gecamines, was rocked a couple of days ago, when its Mining Ministry overseers sacked nine of its top managers for incompetence - and its being the DRC, possibly taking baksheesh.
Banro has a superb relationship with the Mining Ministry - virtually every top official attending the Twangiza Opening Ceremony - and is the "Go To" company in the DRC mining sector.
One wonders, therefore, whether Banro could be asked to step in to manage or at least help with Gecamines and its assets.
First all, for latest info on Congo DRC i have found that going directly to Google and search Congo DRC by News is the best.
THats a real possiblity. Remember, they have 2 other companies headed by Simon Village in that area. Sorry i cant add much to that i'm still recovering from 2 huge dinners last night and alot of wine for Thanksgiving.
