under current economic situation in california it is simply a ploy. If they do strike RAD will rid itself of a financial drag on the company. The california peeps need to be grateful they have jobs and wait for RAD to be profitable before they belly up to the table.
He must be worth it then. Rite Aid will be profitable and the sp will double. As to my age, I'm not living back in the 90's as you seem to be. Rite Aid is a great company and has a bright future.
Just my opinion.
If RAD was a lean company, they wouldnt pay their CEO 11 million a year! Plus the BOD gets bonuses all the time! READ THE NEWS! I've probably worked longer than you've been on the planet! Now tell us your age!
If the folks in California choose to strike they will be easily replaced by people hungry for work. California has a high unemployment rate. I doubt many californians are going to have a lot of sympathy with them striking when so many would be glad to just have a job. Also Rite Aid is not a fat cat company, it has to run lean and mean in order to be profitable again, if the union chooses to ignore this they will be broken.
Just my opinion.
"We think such a vote was premature, especially since the union hasn't even given us a counter proposal to our first proposal," Eric Harkreader, a Rite Aid spokesman, said in a statement Tuesday afternoon.
"Rite Aid has and will continue to work with UFCW locals representing our associates to reach a new agreement, one that is fair to all parties involved. In fact, we have bargaining sessions set for the next three weeks, starting tomorrow, and look forward to getting back to the table," he wrote.
"wait for rad to be profitable"!!??We will all be dead waiting for rad to be profitable..Any news how rad is going to rid the 6Billion dollar debt?? Dont say buyout as no one is going to buy out rad.
