      • Free Flu Shots for Uninsured Patients From CVS Caremark and Direct Relief USA
Something like getting an annual flu shot should be routine but can become challenging if you're lacking health insurance. To ease some of that burden CVS Caremark is announcing a partnership with the non-profit organization Direct Relief USA to offer up to $6 million in free flu shots around the U.S.

Over 400 Direct Relief-affiliated clinics and health centers across the country will work to identify uninsured individuals from their current patient rosters and offer each of them a voucher for a free flu shot. Those vouchers will be redeemable for a free flu shot at any CVS/pharmacy or MinuteClinic location.

The effort is part of our ongoing commitment to provide a convenient, safe place for people to get a flu shot, which can help stop the spread of the flu. For Direct Relief USA it's part of their ongoing work to provide free medications and supplies for low-income and uninsured individuals.
