With RAD the #3 in this market, what would happen if Wal-Mart bought up RAD and made RAD their neighborhood Pharmacy? With WM peddling 4 dollar prescriptions, and the " Affordable Health Care" thing going on..... Just seems like it would be a good fit.. Thoughts???
Seems like a no brainer. I mentioned this when Rad was at less than a dollar. It's still a great idea. What would be negative about it. Even the debt could be refinanced at 2% or pay it off entirely. That would save 1/2 billion $.
This has been discussed here for several months. I, as with several others, think it would be a great move for Walmart. It would automacatly give them a large new source of pharm. customers. Also, the current Walmart phar. customers would have most likely a closer access to a pharm, as Rite Aide stores are scattered around cities, while there are much fewer walmart stores.Another benefit would be the awesome buying power of walmart, Can you imagine how they could vastly improve the front end store sales, and also margins. Probably what walmart would do is gradually , in new Rite Aid stores, go to a little larger store size. In my opinion, they could really do major damage to CVS and Walgreen.
You are right , but funnier things hv happened.......how about after wal=mart goes over the $10.00 a hr wage , and lets the people there now keep there salarys ( like a father-in-type-of-deal ) but new people would hv to start at $10.00 or whatever over $10.00 they be paying at that time......wal-mart is so big if the unions fight to hard..........they buy it .......shut it down , re=open as rite-aid again , or wal=mart, or even poss. a new name which in two years they spin-off for there loyal wal-mart investors......lets hear it all......here.....what to u all say about this
