It isn't pushback from his constituents, the rath of the Koch Bros., an uprising in the GOP House caucus, or the criticism he'll get from the obese, drug adled, windbag Rushbo. It's the American people seeing the economy do well after the tax hikes are enacted. In other words, the cornerstone of conservative thought is in jeodardy of being exposed as a grand canard to protect the interests of the wealthy at the expense of the middle class. Taxes were raised when Clinton was President and we got a good economy and a balanced budget. They were lowered during Shrub's presidency and the economy tanked while the deficit exploded. Those opposing tax hikes to pre-Bush era levels need to ask themselves a simple question. Do you want the US to prosper as a nation and are you willing to make a financial sacrifice to ensure it does?
