GOP Senator Embraces Gay Marriage After His Son Comes Out
O, the compassion!
Sen. Rob Portman (stooooopid-OH) has reversed his position on gay marriage, becoming the only sitting Republican senator to support marriage equality. The senator was a top contender to become Bishop Rmoney’s vice presidential candidate last year. As he explained to several Ohio newspapers, Portman was inspired by his son Will, who came out in February of 2011.
Portman’s previous stance on marriage equality was termed “openly hostile” by Michigan Law students who protested his commencement speech just two months after his son privately came out. One hundred students reportedly walked out of the speech. In June 2012, he still opposed the Employee Non-Discrimination Act, explaining that businesses should be able to fire gay people without fear of legal action.
During the vetting process for GOP vice presidential candidate, Portman says he told Rmoney “everything” about his son and claims that the campaign assured him that his son’s orientation was not the reason why he was not selected. Instead, Rmoney chose a loser who couldn't even deliver his home town for the stooooopid party, let alone his home state.
So your saying: when the sickness strikes home, you take notice?
Any different than: My home was robbed, so I am going out to buy a weapon.
Or: I lost my job because of Obama, so now I like welfare and will make it a career after 4 years.
What he should have done is talk him into getting medical help and explain it is a sickness and un-natural
AHAHAHAHAHAHAH koreanwonton...let us continue your simile...is it any different than "I like turtles so now I like turtles."? Or "I get a tingle in my tummy when I watch Ann Coulter, so I must be Hannitysexual"? AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA you never fail!!!!
