Yes, we basically disagree.... and I do share your annoyance re the CC mention of AAPL (if not explicitly.) ... An optimist, of course, would conclude (as per BF) that one of the follow-on products (presumably, high-end for non-US users, as opposed to their forthcoming mass-market low-ender) is (or was, heaven help us!) looking like it would contain ANAD product.
I do, however, think you're out of line (factually and via interpretation) as to their "shelf." I do buy, as must be obvious, their explanation for why they did it when.
Although I worked in Warren (not in their co. or industry) for a while, I never saw their facility. It's hard for me to believe that that's where they do their mfing, but I guess it is.... And yes, it borders on inconceivable that once ANAD "tastes" $2/hr labor (maybe, it's genuinely higher, but I really think my guess is in the ballpark), they'll want to have too many high priced folks in the U.S. doing comparable work.... Maybe, and this could be WAY out of line, places like Warren will house "Bell labs" type activities (along with marketing and other white collar/mgrial stuff), wherein they try to "keep the edge" they now have.
