One of the things that will be interesting to see is the amount that the new orders in FRPT vehicles will have on this and next quarter's bottom line at SPAR. It looks like FRPT will set new production records in the next couple months, and that all comes from SPAR built basic components-
So how much of SPAR sales can be tied to the new military business? Anybody know?
Sorry- I missed this in the report. Here it is: *** Sales of specialty vehicles chassis, including Spartan's subcontracts for Force Protection's Cougar and BAE Systems' ILAV military vehicles, increased 876.6 percent in the fourth quarter of 2006. At the end of the quarter, backlog for specialty vehicles was at $49.7 million, an increase of 240.2 percent compared with last year. ***
And now Force Protection has annouced several NEW orders since the end of the fourth quarter, with deliveries expected before the end of this quarter. So SPAR is goign to have to up those nubmers even higher.
